Create and publish

This section takes an event from nothing to a page the outside world can open. It starts in the event wizard — four steps that create a draft — covers the fields the first step insists on, and ends with publishing that draft and sharing the page it produces.

Nothing here has to be finished in one sitting. A new event is created as a draft, so it stays yours while it is incomplete: in the event listings, only you, the event's moderators and the managers of the organizing company can see it. Leave a field out and you can add it later from Edit event content, or come back here and carry on.

Two things are worth knowing before you start. The package decides what the wizard asks for and what it costs, and a package with a price has to be paid for before the event can go live. The Privacy switch decides who the event is offered to while people browse — worth deciding before you publish rather than after.
